Reverend Thomas Leinbach

Interim Senior Pastor

As the newest addition to our pastoral staff, Tom Leinbach joins us as Interim Senior Minister
following the retirement of Joe Neville.  Tom has a passion for interim ministry, understanding
it as a time of creativity and optimism, of examination and exploration.  In a related sense,
Tom is drawn to the unique challenges facing the church today, challenges that in some ways are
only now becoming clear.  As the church seeks to re-define itself to meet these challenges,
the Spirit of Christ must lead the way.

A native of Fairfield County, Tom currently lives in Moodus with his wife, Linda, who also,
on occasion, joins him in calling on our elderly members. Together they have two grown
children, Kristin and Jonathan, and are the unabashedly proud grandparents of two granddaughters,
Autumn and Abigail (and yes they have pictures!).

Tom has been a Pastoral Counselor as well as having served multiple congregations in Massachusetts,
Pennsylvania and Connecticut, in both settled and interim capacities.  He is a graduate of
Boston University and holds M.Div. and S.T.M. degrees from Yale Divinity School.
